On every paid tier, your revenue share is capped at a monthly dollar maximum. Once your communities hit that cap, every dollar above it is 100% yours — we take nothing more. For example, on Growth (4%), once you pay $2,000 in rev share for the month, the rest of your earnings that month are free and clear. It's our way of ensuring our fee stays fair as you scale.
We only charge a revenue share fee when your community collects paid memberships. Free communities are always free. For paid communities, we take a percentage of member subscription revenue — 6% on Starter down to 0.25% on Enterprise. This percentage is capped monthly on all paid plans, so large earners are protected.
Skool charges $99/mo flat — but to match HiveLearn's feature set you'd also need separate tools for email ($99/mo), certificates ($30/mo), and advanced analytics ($50+/mo). That's $278–$400/mo before any transaction fees. HiveLearn Pro at $99 includes all of those features with a 2% rev share capped at $3,000/mo. At $5,000 GMV, your all-in HiveLearn cost is ~$199/mo vs. $349–$499/mo for Skool + tools.
Your rate stays the same within your tier — but as you grow and upgrade, your percentage drops significantly: 6% → 4% → 2% → 1% → 0.25%. Upgrading a tier also raises your cap, so the math keeps improving. You're always incentivized to stay on HiveLearn because bigger plans mean a better deal, not a worse one.
